Advertising agency DDB has created an offgrid billboard for the juice brand, which can be rolled around town, powered entirely by oranges. According to Inhabitat, the billboard is stacked high with hundreds of oranges and took three months to construct.
The energy is generated by an electrochemical reaction using the acid from the oranges as the catalyst.
As a huge fan of renewable energy, as well as GCSE-style experiments, the Sceptic Tank thinks this is a great idea.
But as a caveat to our celebrations, it is worth noting that if this innovative approach to eco advertising gathers pace, NGOs might soon be warning against the risk of diverting orange crops for fuel production, to the detriment of our daily glass of vitamin C.
