In response to popular demand, deadline for entries to this year's BusinessGreen Leaders Awards has been extended until Wednesday 29th March

BusinessGreen can today announce the deadline for the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2017 has been extended until 5pm on Wednesday 29th March.

In response to overwhelming demand over the weekend and a flurry of requests for entry deadline extensions, the deadline for all entries has been pushed back by 12 days.

Any business, organisation, team or individual with a presence in the UK now has until next Wednesday to submit their entry.

Anyone who has already submitted an entry and wishes to update it can still edit their entry and resubmit it up until the new deadline.

"It is a busy time for many organisations and we've had a lot of parties requesting a deadline extension," explained BusinessGreen editor-in-chief James Murray. "In order to ensure a level playing field and make sure we are showcasing the very best of the green economy we have decided to extend the deadline for everyone."

The awards, which will take place in London on the evening of June 28th, are open to any business, organisation or green executive with a presence in the UK.

BusinessGreen recently provided 10 tips on how to ensure your entry has the best chance of making the short list and being in the running to win one of the prestigious awards.

The awards are free to enter and organisations can enter as many categories as they see fit, ranging from our sustainability executive of the year award to project-based awards recognising company's attempts to curb their environmental impacts. However, in order to deliver the event all shortlisted entries are required to purchase a minimum of two tickets to attend the ceremony and make use of supporting marketing material.

The shortlist for the awards will be announced during the week of April 3rd and successful applicants will have until June 5th to confirm their attendance at the awards at The Brewery in Central London on the evening of 28th June.

The awards will be judged by our expert panel of independent judges. As in previous years, the judging panel will be split in two during the judging process to ensure all the shortlisted entries are fully considered and judges are only assigned to categories where there is no potential conflict of interest.
