Environmental campaigner and sustainability advisor Tony Juniper takes a closer look at the multinational's decision to end deforestation

In this video, Tony Juniper, environmental campaigner and co-founder of sustainability advisory firm, Robertsbridge, takes an in-depth look at how Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) has eliminated deforestation from its operations.

Through Robertsbridge, Juniper has been working with APP to develop and implement its ambitious Forest Conservation Policy, launched in February 2013, which includes a moratorium on all natural forest clearance.

"Operating at such scale in Indonesia requires the cooperation of a broad range of stakeholders with interests that do not always align," said Juniper. "However, success here, in this complicated environment, will mark a signal to the whole world that the journey towards sustainable business is not only possible, but it has a positive and desirable destination."

This video was hosted as part of the BusinessGreen Zero Deforestation Hub in association with Asia Pulp and Paper.
