Inaugural Towards Net Zero Leaders Briefing to explore how businesses can support and accelerate the transition to a net zero emission transport system

BusinessGreen has today announced the launch of a new phase in its Net Zero Now campaign, unveiling plans for a series of events on how businesses can help support and accelerate the transition to a net zero emission economy.

The Towards Net Zero series of Leaders Briefings will see BusinessGreen host four quarterly half day conferences throughout 2019 dedicated to exploring how net zero emissions can be achieved across transport, energy, buildings and infrastructure, and supply chains and land use.

The inaugural event will take place on the morning of March 19th at a central London location and will see expert speakers from across the transport sector discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by the emergence of net zero emission transport technologies.

The conference will explore the emerging technologies and business models that will allow businesses to deliver deep decarbonisation across their fleets and logistics operations. It will provide an invaluable briefing on best practices for embracing zero emission automotive options, an update on efforts to tackle aviation emissions, and an overview of the latest thinking on how to develop greener shipping and logistics services.

"The transition towards a net zero emission economy, regardless of whether or not the government backs a new formal target, remains one of the defining business trends that will shape the economy over the coming decades," said BusinessGreen editor-in-chief James Murray. "The international community is committed to building a net zero emission economy through the Paris Agreement and many top businesses and investors are working to deliver on that goal.

"But navigating such a rapid and dramatic transition remains hugely complicated and it is critical businesses remain abreast of the latest developments. Our new series of events - Towards Net Zero - will provide sustainability executives, green entrepreneurs, and policymakers with invaluable insights into how critical sectors are responding to the net zero challenge."

The Towards Net Zero events are free to attend for BusinessGreen Leaders Subscribers. For more details on reserving your place please check out the new event website.

Further details on the agenda and speaker line up will be announced in due course.
