Women in Green Business Awards: Three weeks left for nominations

Individuals have until 19 April to nominate themselves, a colleague or their employer for the inaugural Women in Green Business Awards

The deadline is drawing closer for the 2024 Women in Green Business Awards, which are set to be the first to celebrate the achievements of women across the UK's green economy.

Nominations for the inaugural awards are open until midnight on 19 April, with two dozen gongs up for grabs for women blazing a trail across the many sectors driving the net zero transition, as well as the companies taking strides to improve diversity and inclusion across the industry.

From apprentices to chief executives, and chief sustainability officers to sustainable financiers, the awards are an opportunity to recognise women's critical role in driving the net zero economy.

Individuals are free to nominate themselves or their employer, as well as colleagues and peers they think deserve recognition at this year's awards. There are 19 awards for individuals - of which two are open to men and women - and five for businesses.

To submit a nomination, individuals must submit brief details of the person, company or initiative they think would be a worthy finalist to the Women in Green Business Awards website, with the option of providing a short summary of 150 words explaining their choice.

Nominated individuals and companies will then be invited to submit a more detailed entry for consideration by our panel of expert judges.

The winners will be unveiled on the evening of Thursday 3 October at a glittering awards ceremony in central London, hosted by the team behind the UK Green Business Awards and the Net Zero Festival.
