Businesses have until 5pm today to register their entry for the UK's most prestigious green business awards

The UK's leading green businesses, NGOs, sustainability executives, investors, project managers, and entrepreneurs have until 5pm this afternoon to register their entry for the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2016, and be in with a chance of winning one of the UK's most prestigious green business awards.

All entries must be registered on the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards website by 5pm on Thursday March 31st. However, in response to popular demand entrants will have until 5pm on Monday April 4th to finalise and submit their entry. The website will then be closed to all new entrants and entries submitted after this time will not be considered by the judging panel.

The shortlist will then be announced on Monday April 11th and successful applicants will have until June 7th to confirm their attendance at the awards on July 6th, when around 600 executives from across the green economy will gather with investors and policymakers at The Brewery in the City of London for the glittering BusinessGreen Leaders Awards ceremony.

Now in their sixth year, the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards bring together leading lights from across the green economy, including CEOs, top sustainability executives, politicians, entrepreneurs and investors.

Previous winners include IKEA, Lord Stuart Rose, National Trust, Sir Ian Cheshire, Good Energy and Bupa.

Entry to the awards is free, however, all shortlisted organisations are expected to purchase a minimum of two tickets to the awards ceremony.

In addition to a three-course meal and unique networking opportunity, all finalists and highly commended entries will receive a certificate to mark their achievement at the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards.

The theme of this year's awards is making the Paris Agreement a reality, and as such we want to hear from those businesses, NGOs, and executives who are working to turn global sustainability pledges, be they on climate change or other topics, into an economic and commercially-viable proposition.
