Latest BusinessGreen lecture to offer invaluable introduction to the green strategies every business needs

Plenty of businesses want to reduce their environmental impacts and enhance their green credentials, but despite reams of complex best practice advice many firms remain unclear as to how to develop an effective green business strategy.

BusinessGreen hopes to resolve this confusion with an exclusive series of two Sustainable Business Lecture Evenings detailing the checklist all green businesses should follow.

The first lecture will take place on Thursday, 29 September at 76 Portland Place in London's West End and will explore how businesses can effectively employ carbon management, water management, green travel and biodiversity protection policies in order to reduce costs and risks, enhance green credentials and improve commercial performance.

The evening will feature a series of short lectures from some of the UK's leading green business figures, and will also incorporate a question and answer session and networking drinks.

Full details of the agenda are available here. Topics covered will include:

• How to develop a carbon and energy policy
• How to develop a sustainable water management policy
• How to develop a green travel policy
• How to reduce biodiversity impacts

The second lecture will also take place at 76 Portland Place on Wednesday, 26 October and will address effective waste management, renewable energy, green supply chain and marketing strategies.

Each lecture is priced at £65, but BusinessGreen readers can take advantage of two early bird offers.

Those booking before 1 September can secure a ticket for the September lecture on carbon, water, travel and biodiversity for £45, or book attendance at both lectures for £85.
