Jessica Shankleman joined the company as a reporter in 2010 and left December 2015. 

She regularly took responsibility for BusinessGreen's leading news and analysis as well as managing the site's content hubs.

Jessica is a leading commentator in the low carbon sector, writing for the Guardian as well as appearing on BBC World News, Radio 4 and Al Jazeera to discuss business and environment issues.

She produces a wide range of news and analysis for BusinessGreen, focusing on issues including project finance, energy, technology and supply chain management. She also contributes to much of BusinessGreen's multimedia and data visualisation content.

Jessica is an award-winning journalist who prior to joining BusinessGreen worked for renewable energy industry magazine reNews.

She qualified from Cardiff University in 2009 with a postgraduate diploma in newspaper journalism. While there, she won an NCTJ Top Scoop Award for Excellence in Journalism for an exclusive story on the discovery of an unencrypted memory stick containing confidential child protection information.
