Michael Holder is a senor reporter for BusinessGreen, writing daily news, features and analysis pieces for the site. He is particularly interested in politics, clean tech innovation and the transition away from fossil fuels.

Prior to joining BusinessGreen, Michael worked as a freelancer for the Press Association, NME and others before moving on to greener pastures at the Environment Media Group, where he worked for several years as a reporter and editor covering waste, recycling and air pollution.

Originally from Milton Keynes, Michael is an NCTJ-qualified journalist and has a degree in contemporary history from the University of Sussex.
