Company Name: Prolectric Limited

Headquarters: Clevedon, North Somerset

Website: www.prolectric.co.uk

Headcount: 21 people

Profile: Prolectric is a privately-owned, specialist UK manufacturer and provider of solar lighting for infrastructure, construction and outdoor events. Its mission is to develop smart, clean products that help customers to operate efficiently and save money, while positively contributing to a better environment.

Prolectric was the first to introduce solar-only permanent street lights to the UK market in 2011. In 2016, the company began applying its expert knowledge to pioneer a unique approach to temporary solar lighting as an alternative to diesel.

Diesel tower lights are ubiquitous on infrastructure projects providing temporary lighting for applications such as contractor compounds, highway maintenance and rail night working. Until recently solar alternatives have been unable to offer complete reassurance of reliable operation during dark, winter days, at times when off-grid lighting is needed most.

With bright, LED illumination and next-generation battery power, Prolectric offers temporary solar lights that are tried and tested to be 100 percent reliable even on the shortest and darkest winter days.

Its latest products, ProLight and ProTemp solar lights, are leading a silent, solar revolution.

The Prolectric ProLight has a high-power 1,320W capacity, three times that of other temporary solar tower lights on the market. It is the only solar trailer light that can operate consistently and reliably even on winter days with 16 hours of darkness.

Every ProLight is fitted with a micro-controller and tracking facility, so the ProLight can be switched on and off remotely and the light's settings can be altered to suit the light conditions without attending on site.

The ProLight product was trialled with contractors working on several major infrastructure projects including the A14, Battersea Power Station, Hinkley Point, M1 Smart Motorway and for Scottish Southern Electric. ProLight has now been brought to market with 150 ProLight units available in the UK either for rental or purchase.

Prolectric Limited's UK temporary lighting fleet has grown more than tenfold since Spimg 2017 and the company is preparing for a major uplift in demand during the 2018/19 winter season.
