Inaugural Leaders Briefing half day conference to take place on 21st September with top speakers including Mary Creagh, Landsec's Caroline Hill, and Hermes boss Saker Nusseibeh

BusinessGreen has today announced it is to host its first Leaders Briefing on the morning of 21st September, providing attendees with an invaluable insight into how new recommendations from the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) are set to shape businesses' environmental reporting and strategies.

The half day conference will take place at One Moorgate Place in Central London and will bring together a host of leading experts and high profile keynote speakers, including chair of the Environmental Audit Committee Mary Creagh MP, CEO of Hermes Investment Management Saker Nusseibeh, and head of sustainability at Landsec Caroline Hill.

The agenda features keynotes on the impact of the TCFD recommendations and how businesses are responding, a panel discussion hosted in partnership with Ecosphere+ on how firms can maximise the benefits associated with TCFD guidelines, case studies detailing how leading firms are changing their climate reporting, and workshops offering attendees practical guidance.

Additional speakers from leading blue chip firms and investors will be announced in the coming weeks.

"The TCFD recommendations may sound like a dry acronym, but they are one of the most important developments for the green business community in recent years and they are already shaping how corporates and investors engage with climate risks and opportunities," said BusinessGreen editor-in-chief James Murray. "The combination of climate risk disclosure, scenario planning, and mounting pressure from investors for firms to identify the opportunities associated with decarbonisation promises to have a transformational impact.

"Our inaugural briefing is a must attend event that will bring together leading experts and provide an invaluable insight into how businesses should respond to this exciting new trend."

The BusinessGreen Leaders Briefing is free to attend for BusinessGreen Leaders Subscribers. Alternatively tickets for the event are now on sale with a Super Early Bird offer in place until Friday 6th July.
