Plastic straws to be banned at Royal residences, with internal caterers soon only allowed to use China plates, glasses, recyclable paper cups and compostable or biodegradable packaging

If it wasn't already, requesting a plastic straw with which to sip one's beverage when visiting Buckingham Palace will definitely soon be a faux pas, after it emerged that the Queen is set to phase out...
