BusinessGreen.com can confirm that climate change minister Joan Ruddock is to appear as part of its forthcoming webinar on how to comply with the Carbon Reduction Commitment.

Broadcast in association with online conferencing and communications specialist Citrix GoToMeeting, the interactive webinar will take place at 11am on Thursday 10 December.

Ruddock will speak on how business will be affected by the new legislation and viewers will be offered the chance to question the minister on the wide-ranging new rules, which come into effect from April and will require around 5,000 of the country's largest firms to measure and reduce their carbon emissions.

The webinar will be run using Citrix Online's conferencing software GoToMeeting and will allow attendees to take part in the virtual seminar from the comfort of their own desk.

The hour-long session will also feature presentations from Andrew Hitchings, head of CRC implementation at the Environment Agency, who will offer a step-by-step guide on how to comply with the legislation, and Andrew Millard of Citrix Online, who will offer an insight into how the IT industry can help firms cope with the new rules.

The webinar is free to attend and those interested in taking part can register here.
