How do you confuse a right wing Republican?

I know, so many answers spring to mind. But how's about telling them that the planned US climate change bill, which they hate, will hurt Iran, which they hate, to the tune of $100m a day. Cleantechnica has the news of how Republicans will have to decide what they hate more.

In related news, Grist has the results of a poll showing that Tea Party members are less well informed about climate change than other Americans. Who'd have thunk it?

The non-green election

The Guardian Environment section has had some excellent election coverage all week, culminating in a typically gloomy (or should that be realistic?) assessment of the environment's lowly place in the list of politician's priorities from George Monbiot.

Did you know it's Earth Day?

GreenBiz.com has got its Earth Day coverage underway (why does it seem to be a much bigger deal in the US than over here?) with a couple of articles questioning whether on its 40th anniversary its time for Earth Day to take a look at making those firms that enjoy the free green publicity they get live up to their obligations.

Finally, if ever wanted to know how a smart fridge works you can find out by listening to the latest edition of Radio 4's Click On, which BusinessGreen.com contributed to on Monday.
