Two of the UK's leading green consultancies have announced they are to team up to extend the advice and services they offer to both commercial and domestic customers.
Environmental and energy auditing specialist Envos and micro-renewables supplier British Eco announced yesterday that they are to work together to access each other's customer base, in a move that will see Envos offering energy audits to British Eco's green technology customers and vice versa.
Wade Barker, managing director of Envos, said that the partnership would ensure that customers of both companies receive a more comprehensive service designed to help businesses and domestic customers to cut their energy bills and environmental impact.
Tony O'Connor, Planning and Development Director at British Eco, agreed that the alliance would help to extend both companies' services, making it easier for customers to select the right green building investment. "By partnering with Envos we are able to offer clients the additional advantage of an independent energy-use assessment as a foundation for prioritising what steps they want to take to improve the environmental profile of their properties,” he said.
Barker also downplayed fears that the two companies' services would end up overlapping, insisting that the auditing and installation operations are complementary.
"We both specialise in the residential and commercial property space, advising clients on ways to boost energy efficiency and improve the carbon footprint of buildings," he said. "We just approach the challenge from different angles, with Envos providing the initial survey and audit and British Eco recommending the technologies and steps needed to address the problems that the audits reveal."
