Firms keen to reduce the carbon footprint of their offices can download a free new guide containing tips and best practice advice on how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and cut electricity bills.

The new guide from web conferencing specialist WebEx was developed in conjunction with The Climate Group, Vodafone, Fujitsu-Siemens, analyst firm QuoCirca, and WebEx's new parent company Cisco.

It offers guidance on how communication, mobile, desktop and storage technologies can be deployed to cut carbon emissions and enhance employee productivity.

Tips included in the guide range from the adoption of relatively low-cost initiatives, such as improved paper usage policies and print management, to wide-ranging IT projects, such as server consolidation.
