Firms seeking to navigate the numerous green grant schemes currently on offer to them can now access a new service after funding information publishing house j4b this month launched a website designed to allow firms to search for relevant environmental grant schemes.
The free service, called the Green Grants Machine, features details of more than 350 grant schemes offering £1.2bn in funding for environmental initiatives.
The site features a searchable database providing information on the terms and conditions of the government's various green grant programmes, as well as a newsletter update service that promises to inform users of new grants or changes to existing schemes.
A spokeswoman for the company said that it was expecting strong demand for the service, adding that it would aim to address the common complaint that a lack of awareness of green grant schemes has left many of them badly under subscribed.
"There is obviously a problem with a lack of information and we're hoping this site will make it easier for people to find the relevant data they need," she said. "We're expecting to see a lot of interest in the service."
