Political strategist, commentator and journalist Alastair Campbell - former director of communications under the last Labour government - gave a keynote speech at BusinessGreen's recent Net Zero Festival 2023, slamming Rishi Sunak's recent green policy rollbacks and offering his assessment of Labour's plans for the green economy in the run up to the next General Election.

Ahead of that speech, Campbell sat down to offer is views on the state of UK green politics today, why the Conservatives' recent shift in strategy could prove a major political - as well as an economic - error, and why UK politicians jobs should be 'leading a mission of change' by accelerating the net zero agenda.
