Deadline for entries for fifth annual BusinessGreen Technology Awards extended by one week to Monday 7th October

In response to popular demand, BusinessGreen has today extended the deadline for entries to the BusinessGreen Technology Awards by one week. The new deadline for entries is 5pm on Monday 7th October.

In order to ensure a level playing field, those who have already submitted their entries can also modify their submissions up to the new deadline if they wish to do so.

Now in their fifth year, the BusinessGreen Technology Awards provide a unique opportunity to celebrate and promote some of the most exciting green technology companies operating in the UK today.

This year's awards will be staged as part of the inaugural BusinessGreen Technology Festival, which will take place at the Plexal in East London on Thursday 5th December.

The day-long event will feature keynote speeches from chair of the National Infrastructure Commission Sir John Armitt and former nPower boss Paul Massara, as well as a host of panel debates, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to bring together leading blue chips, top green investors, and cutting edge clean tech firms.

The Festival will also feature the BusinessGreen Technology Challenge, which will see some of the finalists at the awards present elevator pitches to our audience of sustainability executives, investors, and green economy stakeholders.

"We had several requests for a deadline extension and so as to ensure a level playing field we are pushing back the deadline for everyone by one week," said BusinessGreen editor-in-chief James Murray. "The BusinessGreen Festival and Awards provide a great opportunity to celebrate and advance the technologies that will be critical to the development of a net zero emission economy. We look forward to bringing together the corporates, investors, start-ups and early stage innovators that will together help engineer a step change in the pace of the green economy."

The BusinessGreen Technology Awards are free to enter. However, in order to be able to stage the awards and festival the terms and conditions do require all finalists to commit to attending. Please confirm you have the time and budget to join us on 5th December before submitting your entry.
