Andrew has over 25-years of experience investing in the transformation of energy markets and the development of lower carbon energy solutions, both as a principal investor and as a corporate and project financier.
He ran the investment business of Climate Change Capital (CCC) in China until 2010, funding the development of clean energy and emission reduction projects through the adoption of innovative technology solutions. He managed an investment portfolio of over €500m.
Prior to CCC, Andrew headed up the Power Group at CDC Group, building a €350m portfolio of investments across electricity generation, transmission and distribution, in developing countries - Africa, Latin America and South & South East Asia.
Since moving back to the UK in 2012, he has advised developers and investors in the funding and acquisition of renewable energy assets and developing power trading strategies in the UK, with the boutique corporate finance firm, Colville Partners, as well as acting as an angel investor and mentor of early-stage energy technology ventures.
He recently founded the investor syndicate, Earth Angel Investors, to provide funding to innovative, early stage energy technology companies, focused on energy storage, demand side management and the application of data analytics.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Imperial College, London and is an ACA qualified Chartered Accountant, completing his training with PwC in London.
