CBI deputy director-general Josh Hardie and Jill Duggan of the Corporate Leaders Group on climate change join agenda for BusinessGreen's 10th anniversary summit

BusinessGreen is today announcing the latest wave of speakers for its inaugural Leaders' Summit this autumn, with CBI deputy director-general Josh Hardie and Jill Duggan of the Corporate Leaders Group just two of the high profile speakers to join the line-up for the day.

Hardie will join our afternoon session on emerging clean technologies, drawing on his experience as group director for corporate responsibility at Tesco, to offer insight on the crucial role of green innovation.

Meanwhile, Duggan will join our morning panel session on the risk and opportunities presented by the transition to a green economy.

They both join a fast-expanding agenda which throughout the day will provide delegates with unique insight into how the green economy has evolved over the 10 years since BusinessGreen's launch and how technology and policy trends will shape the sector over the coming decade.

The summit will take place at The Crystal venue in Docklands on November 9th and will be followed by a gala reception to celebrate BusinessGreen's 10th anniversary.

Delegates will also hear from Dr Emily Shuckburgh, deputy head of the Polar Oceans Team at the British Antarctic Survey and co-author of the recent Ladybird guide to climate change with Prince Charles and Tony Juniper, who will provide an update on the latest climate projections.

In addition, Schroders' Andrew Howard will provide a case study on how investors and businesses should respond to complex climate risks, while two workshops have been confirmed for the afternoon session to be chaired by Lindsay Hooper of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and Mike Peirce of The Climate Group.

Two panel discussions on the long term strategic trends sustainability executives and green businesses need to respond to will also feature a host of leading sustainability thinkers, including Mike Barry, director of sustainable business at Marks & Spencer; Mark Campanale, founder of the Carbon Tracker Initiative; RenewableUK's Emma Pinchbeck; the CBI's Michelle Hubert, Julie Hirigoyen, chief executive at the Green Building Council; and Richard Black of the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit.

More speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Delegates and sponsors can reserve their place at the Summit now with early bird tickets available until September 8th.
