Could your business be celebrating at the fifth annual BusinessGreen Leaders Awards?
On July 1st the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2015 will celebrate the best and the brightest in the world of green business, bringing together the most exciting, inspiring, and innovative projects, teams, and executives working today to advance the green economy.
Now in their fifth year, the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards will bring together 600 business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, sustainability executives and politicians for a glittering awards ceremony at the Brewery in Central London, supported by lead sponsor AECOM.
We have now announced the shortlist for the awards, including sustainability executive of the year, renewable energy project of the year, small business of the year, and the coveted company of the year. We are also launching two new categories to find the best green business advertising or marketing campaign of the year and the most successful employee engagement campaign of the year.
Previous winners of the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards include Sir Stuart Rose, IKEA, Solarcentury's Jeremy Leggett, PwC, Abundance Generation, Diageo, Caroline Lucas and Lord Deben. Could this be the year you join them as a BusinessGreen Leader?
The theme of this year's awards is action. As we reach the half way point of a decade that will in many ways determine whether or not the UK, Europe, and the wider world can build a genuinely sustainable economy we want to celebrate how leading businesses and NGOs are taking action here and now to tackle environmental risks and seize the opportunities presented by cleaner technologies and business models.
The entry process is relatively simple and the awards are free to enter, although we require shortlisted companies to purchase a minimum of two tickets to attend the ceremony.
The entries will be judged against the stated criteria by our distinguished panel of judges, which includes MPs Alan Whitehead and Laura Sandys, former BusinessGreen Leaders Awards winners, such as Julia Groves of Trillion Fund and Hanergy's Estee Chaikin, and leading experts from across the green economy, such as Aldersgate Group's Nick Molho, WRAP's Dr Liz Goodwin, Dr Nina Skorupska of the Renewable Energy Association, and Hubbub's Trewin Restorick.
As with previous years, our judging panel will be split into two groups to ensure each entry is given thorough consideration and enable any conflicts of interest with certain categories to be avoided.
Sponsored by AECOM and category sponsor The Crown Estate, the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards are the must-attend event for the green business community and we will once again be joined by leaders from across the political spectrum, as well as many of the UK's top green business executives.
As well as being a celebration of the most inspiring green business projects, the awards also represent an unparalleled networking and sponsorship opportunity. For information on available sponsorship packages contact Matthew Oliver at [email protected]
Tickets are now on sale for the awards night and shortlisted organisations have until June 3rd to confirm their attendance.
