O2 has introduced a 3G broadband USB modem for just £29.99 on a pay-as-you-go tariff, branding it as the best value mobile offering for laptop users.
Available immediately, the O2 Mobile Broadband USB modem plugs into the USB port of any PC or Mac laptop, enabling users to access the internet at speeds up to 3.6Mbit/s from anywhere within reach of a cellular network signal.
The O2 Mobile Broadband Pay & Go tariffs start at £2 a day for a download allowance of up to 500MB, £7.50 a week for 1GB or £15 a month for 3GB.
Customers also get unlimited access to over 6,000 Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK via O2 partner The Cloud.
O2 said that customers get 24-hour access to support from a UK call centre, plus a 50-day money-back Happiness Guarantee. The modem is available online, or at O2 and Carphone Warehouse stores.
