Video streaming service Zattoo is now offering all five terrestrial UK TV channels and a range of specialist entertainment programming live via its free desktop player.
The company has over 20 channels which all stream live from one player which includes an electronics programme guide.
"People often have to compromise their viewing choices with other household members, such as their flatmates or partner," said Alexandra Illes, manager for Zattoo in the UK.
"Zattoo helps eliminate this as anyone with a computer and internet connection can watch TV via the internet. It's just like owning another TV."
Zattoo operates like a channel aggregator, allowing users to switch between different channels within the single player installed on their computer.
The player is available as a free download and operated on Mac OS X, Linux and Windows XP and Vista.
