Security distributor Softek has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with two-factor authentication vendor Deepnet Security.
Under the terms of the deal, the distributor, which operates across the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands, will recruit a network of resellers to help the firm gain maximum coverage within the region.
Anna Goss, who was recently promoted to channel sales director for Softek, said: “We chose Deepnet because we were looking for authentication products for our portfolio, but a lot of the traditional tokens were prehistoric and we needed two-factor authentication. Deepnet’s products make it a lot easier for banks and corporate clients to confirm the identity of their customers.”
Goss said Deepnet’s products stood out from the pack, particularly its PocketID product - a credit card-shaped token that can be combined with a door-swipe entry card.
“We are looking to recruit a number of key resellers for Deepnet and are currently running a joint promotion that will swap existing token hardware free of charge, leaving a charge for just the licensing. We are confident this offer will prove attractive to resellers.”
Yurong Lin, chief executive at Deepnet Security, said in a statement: “We feel the focus, technical skills and its extensive partner reach means Softek is the perfect partner to help us grow our channel business in the UK.”
Phil Tarrant, technical director at VAR Network Systems Technology, said Softek was a true value-added distributor. “At Softek there are no call centres and it is a refreshing change to speak to a human being.”
