Renewable energy company Airtricity has outsourced its bill layout and printing in order to focus on its core business of 'selling power'.
The new system, from communications specialist Docucorp, will integrate with Airtricity's recently installed billing system and will produce customer account letters, bills, statements and collection letters, as well as customised and personalised documents.
'We were clear in what issues faced Airtricity. We wanted an outsourced end-to-end billing fulfillment application that provided a scalable and robust platform for growth,' said David Brown, sales and marketing director, Airtricity. 'The solution had to deliver document integration that would support significant business growth as well as integrate with our current CIS system.'
The system will also generate documents in electronic format for use in online archiving, viewing, access and for email. Many of Airtricity's 45,000 customers preferred not to receive paper mailing and instead chose to view documents in electronic form.
Mailings are automatically sorted to take advantage of postage discounts from both the Royal Mail in the UK and Anpost in Ireland.
'By outsourcing the bill production process we have improved our operational efficiencies and reduced cost,' said David Brown. 'With the new solution we can ensure that all communications are consistent with corporate branding guidelines, while reporting mechanisms enable us to track the printing and fulfillment of every production run.'
The Docucorp solution also enables Airtricity to change document layout, style and format easily.
